Peace is all I need

Peace is all I need
Planted in our lives like a seed
In this land of egoism and greed
Where our deeds supersedes those of the beasts
I plead that my cry be heard
Lest the situation becomes hard
And eventually runs out of hand.

We no longer talk of arrows and spears
Rather gun shots have become food to our ears
Grenade attacks have heightened over the years
Our eyes have turned into wells of tears,
Mourning the deaths of our dears.
For how long shall we live in fear?

I’m writing so my cry would be heard
Before attackers chop off my head
I pray that we get security
From Tana delta to Wajir, Garissa to Turkana county
Oh let there be unity
And peace forever be our priority

Mutually let’s denounce the killings
Ceaselessly let’s embrace the healing
From top to the bottom
Let’s encourage peace among us to blossom

And eternally our lives will glow,
If we allow peace to flow.
Peace is all I need to prevail
And in tranquility we shall forever sail

The vibe show

This was all lots of fun. I enjoyed every bit in putting this piece together. It may be a short piece but the challenges we underwent were many. At times we could miss a camera when we were supposed to go out for a shoot. At one time we went for a shoot in the studio and there was no power. All in all the cooperation of all the group members saw us through all the challenges.
All the credit goes to Evans Onchanah, Carol Mwaura, Phoebe Kamango, Elizabeth Tsombe, Angela Osalla, Aziza Akida and ofcos myself. The time that we shared was the best time ever. We were more than friends and classmates. The Lunch and the games we played in Rongai were incredible. Miss them like crazy. Thank you guys, miss you and  love you all. Wish you the very best in your future endeavours and  long healthy lives. Chao!!
